ARTIST NOTES: This artwork is dedicated to color and achieving vibrancy with a medium not usually associated with vibrancy. I wanted to capture the calming feeling of a koi pond or Japanese garden within a painting. The intention was to develop my skill with realism and achieve an interesting subject matter in doing so.
