Brindabella Baeckea by Joan Mckay

Features

ARTIST NOTES: Last winter I was lucky to be the carer of this beautiful Common Wallaroo, Baeckea (named after the native flower and dressed in her full winter fur). She was found in the Brindabella Ranges near Canberra. Now she is with other wallaroos in a sanctuary in Collector, NSW. In the scratchboard I tried to show her independent nature in which she studied every situation. She is a true survivor. Photo credit: Swimming Wombat Photographics.
