ARTIST NOTES: Prior to 1939, mathematicians believed that it was not possible to dissect a square into a number of smaller squares, all of different sizes. "Blue squares" is 1376 units on each side, and it has been divided into 32 smaller squares, all of different sizes. More details are available on the back of the artwork.
