ARTIST NOTES: An oil painting of pink camelias from my garden in a crystal vase with yellow and red apples balancing the composition. Cezanne and Manet are the main inspiration for this work and many of my artworks. Painted on Belgian linen prepared myself in the traditional manner with sizing and ground. This artwork is framed in a black floater frame.

ARTIST BIO

I am an Australian artist and oil painting is my passion. For me there is simply no better feeling than to be standing in front of a canvas and painting. I have been making art all of my life, working as an art teacher and creating commissioned artworks. I work in all media, including drawing, printmaking, painting and photography. Oil painting is my preferred painting technique because l love the way brushstrokes express the energy and passion I feel about the world around me.
